Covid19

18 March 2020 - – by Tang Hall Big Local

UPDATE on 14/04/20 – Tang Hall Big Local staff have spent the last few weeks working closely with a Local Government Distribution Hub which is serving the area of Tang Hall. Kayleigh is managing volunteers for the Hub, and Anna is coordinating contacts for donations and deliveries. The staff of Tang Hall Big Local remain active and are answering queries via email and telephone, although our office is not currently open. Our Partnership and Trustees are still meeting regularly, but the implementation of our new Local Plan, and all associated spend activities, have been suspended, pending government guidance, until September.

UPDATE on 26/03/20 – Tang Hall Community Centre is now closed, in accordance with recent government advice. The Tang Hall Big Local team are all still working from home, but until further notice, none of our events are happening. Please check back here, or on Facebook, for updates. Stay safe!

CORONAVIRUS

We know there’s a great deal of concern about corona virus, so we wanted to let you know the measures we’re taking to help protect everyone attending our sessions.

Tang Hall Big Local is following all Public Health England and City of York advice around corona virus, and at present, some of our events are affected (see below), and staff are working primarily from home, in line with government guidance. We will be in on Friday mornings, and at other times as needed.

As an organisation, we want you to know we take the health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers very seriously. We’ve implemented several measures to reduce risks as much as possible.

We’re asking everyone attending any sessions we are running to follow government corona virus hygiene instructions, and we’ve asked our event leaders to ensure thorough equipment cleaning and hygiene procedures.

Please help us to protect everyone in our sessions by staying at home if you’re feeling unwell. All our staff, volunteers and visitors have been asked to take this same precaution.

If you do find you feel unwell and you have a high temperature (above 37.8C) or a new and persistent cough you should follow current government guidelines and self-isolate for seven days.

We know this is a worrying time for everyone, but we want to reassure you that we’re doing all we can in accordance with current advice.

Please keep checking our social media for any updates on the running of our sessions. This is the best way for us to keep you informed should we need to make any additional changes.

A huge thank you from all of us for your support with this.
