Meet a volunteer interview: Charlotte
How long have you lived in the area?
About 12 years
What do you love about Tang Hall?
It has great parks, with St Nicholas & Hull Road, easy to get into the city centre, and it’s really friendly
Why did you start volunteering?
I was stuck in a rut and I saw volunteering on offer and I thought ‘why not volunteer in my own local community?’ And I’m so glad I did.
What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learnt from volunteering?
That Etty Avenue is named after an artist who helped save the City Walls and was famous for painting naked women!
